Local Vocals is a community singing group based in Kemnay. The group was started in December 2015 by Sally Wilkinson. Sally has had previous experience of launching and running a choir (Wattisham Military Wives Choir) when based down in Suffolk with her husband and two young daughters. After living in Kemnay for just under a year Sally couldn’t resist the temptation any longer and set about setting up a singing group! She approached Keith and Callum Bell, the talented musical brothers behind The Rhythm Box, and the rest is history!

Repertoire: We sing a mixture of songs in three parts (when we can get our heads around them!) including modern, musical theatre and acapella and are always open to suggestions. We do not use backing tracks.
Members: The group has around 30-40 members but we are always on the look out for new people…the bigger the group the bigger the sound!
Ability: All ages and abilities are welcome, no auditions are necessary and you don’t need to be able to read music. Don’t worry if you haven’t sung with people before or don’t know what part you sing, just come and along and give it a go!
Below you will find a full selection of the vocals parts for each section to use to practice with at home inbetween rehearsals.
Because really, who can go a whole week without a song?
